I found your site while searching for "dog insurance" on Google - I have to say I found it extremely useful!

I went through 5 or 6 different dog insurance company sites, and I requested quotes from each one. Most of the sites were pretty painless, asking the same basic questions (age of dog, medical history, current health problems, etc). There was only one site that didn't work, so I didn't get a quote!

I decided to buy my dog insurance with Tesco for my dog Mollly, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The Tesco quote process was easy, and I not only received a 20% discount for ordering online but also an extra 5% discount for insuring our cat too. In fact, insuring both pets was cheaper than some other companies charged just for Molly!

I chose the basic plan, which includes all the things I was looking for, vet cover, accidental damage, 3rd party liability (in case she bites someone or causes an accident) and advertising costs in case she goes missing (God forbid!).

Molly is 10, so I guess she is classed as an old dog - but the policy costs us just over £25 per month for both the dog and the moggie, which is quite reasonable. I only want insurance for peace of mind really, I hope I never have to make a claim.
