"Last year I rescued a loving Golden Retriever from a local rescue centre named Tess, she was getting on in years and had been mistreated by her previous owners and I wanted to make sure that the last few years of her life were in the care of a loving home.
I admit that my heart got the better of me and my family and I took Tess on without thinking of things such as dog insurance, I just assumed that a dog insurance company would insure my dog. Imagine my surprise then when many companies refused me dog insurance on the grounds that she was too old! They told me that it wasn’t worth their while insuring a dog that’s likely to need insurance as it gets older. Personally, I believed that’s what insurance was for.
After many hours of calling around different companies, I came across Halifax Dog Insurance, and they were amazing, they understood my predicament I sorted out an insurance policy in a matter of minutes.
12 months on and Tess is doing great, a little arthritis is creeping in but I have as yet to use my Halifax policy but it’s weight off my mind knowing that it is there if Tess needs it.
