Dogs generally cost more to insure than cats

As with all Insurance Policies there will be an excess, so you need to decide which scheme is best for you e.g pay a higher excess but have a lower premium, or have a high premium with a lower excess
Different areas can mean different rates i.e. Rural areas have a tendancy to be more expensive than urban areas
Some Policies may increase their rates each year as your pet gets older and the risk of illness increases
