Dog Insurance Provides 'Peace of Mind'

PDSA say Dog Insurance Provides Peace of Mind

Dog Insurance is an important consideration and provides dog owners with cover for "unexpected veterinary fees and peace of mind", according to the PDSA.

With vet bills for operations sometimes amounting to thousands of pounds and even routine procedures getting more expensive, dog lovers are advised to look at taking out appropriate levels of protection sooner rather than later.

Jenny Davies, the PDSA's media and PR officer, said:

"It is important for owners to take out a dog insurance policy regardless of whether they believe their dog to be completely healthy, as unexpected bills or accidents could happen at any time.

It is also an important consideration when thinking about the owner's liability for their dog's actions, such as damage to a person or property," she added.

Anyone thinking of purchasing this valuable protection for their furry friends should always read the small print of contracts to check policy conditions.

These may include things like exclusions for pre-existing medical problems or payment limits on vets' bills.
